Intrinsically Safe Certified Sensors

Intrinsically Safe sensors and signal conditioners are for use with Class I, Division 1 and Class I, Zone 0 classified areas. These sensors are designed with the protection components required for use with very hazardous gases such as hydrogen and acetylene. The internal protection components as well as a separate shunting-diode safety barrier are required to limit current flow into and out of the sensor. This limits the energy of sparks and the surface temperature of the equipment.

Versions of our Variable Reluctance, Amplified Variable Reluctance, RF Eddy Current, and Hall Effect Zero speed sensors are available. Certified versions of several Signal Amplifiers and Signal Converters are also available.
